At a very young age, Imad Habbab took a closer step to art concepts and joined professional art classes and workshops in Damascus, Syria.

 

Imad graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Damascus in 2011. Developing a passion for Impressionism which led him to create and enhance his conceptulization for developing his opulent colour palette

 

In 2012, when the crisis erupted, Imad went to Lebanon. He started exploring the concept of the "explosion" series drawing on his memories to portray the juxtaposition between the breadth of thoughts and memories of the human experience.

 

In 2014 Imad developed his unique "Civilian Spectrum" concept and series relating to the intricacies of relationships between identity, the space one occupies, and the traces they leave behind.

 

Imad went on to search for new inspirations to further his palette concept, and moved to Istanbul in 2015. 

 

Imad is currently based in Belgium and has since participated in multiple exhibitions and performances stretching from the Middle East to Europe and the United States. His most recent solo exhibition took place in Beirut in 2025.
